
Laura is a fulltime freelance illustrator. The focus of her work is mainly for babies, children, tween, teen and women. She is passionate about creating illustrations that can impact the environment in a positive way. Laura’s illustrations are creative, whimsical and fun. Her work is appropriate for a wide variety of licensing opportunities. Laura creates her work by hand and with the computer; mostly using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
Laura has illustrated and designed greeting cards, gift bags and stationery for Gartner Greetings. She has also illustrated and designed greeting cards for Hallmark, Designer Greetings, and Paramount Greeting Cards.
She has created illustrations for ornaments and other giftware with Barlow Designs, including two limited edition Christmas ornaments.
Laura has illustrated easy reader picture books for Harcourt School Publishers and published illustrations for children with Loyola Press, Allyn and Bacon, and Pearson.
Laura’s illustrations have been part of a traveling exhibit for the Smithsonian National Museum or Natural History. She created 26 reconstruction illustrations of fossils and three cartoon fossils for an interactive children’s game.
Laura has her BFA in illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design and her masters in art education from the Rhode Island School of Design.
